The TYR CXT-2 Trainer has had a lot of buzz around them since TYR broke into the CrossFit world a couple of years ago.

In the context of its lineage, the CXT-2 Trainer feels much more like the sophomore model in the sense that it's a much stronger shoe compared to its predecessor the CXT-1. A lot of the changes implemented in this shoe seem to be based on community feedback.

At the end of the day, I've thoroughly enjoyed the CXT-2 Trainer for lifting and cross-training sessions.

It has a more built-out feel, which I like for certain sessions, and it's wider without any glaring durability issues that plagued the first model.

I think if you like the CXT-1 or were deterred by its OG issues but have been curious about TYR shoes, then it's worth looking into this model.
