At Fondation EDF in Paris’s 7th arrondissement, choreographer Saïdo Lehlouh — the man who brought street dancers into the Palais Garnier during the Paris Olympics — programmed a three-month season that asked: what if all dance forms were considered equal?
Inside this episode: waacking icon Mounia Nassangar (first Black woman to win France’s Danse Élargie prize) performing with Hong Kong’s Panda Waack, two-time Red Bull BC One world champion Natasha “Kastet” Kiliachikhina, flamenco revolutionary Israel Galván meeting hip-hop pioneer Mathias Rassin, and seven women from Paris’s underground hip-hop scene declaring “We are here.”
