প্রধান উপদেষ্টা ড. মুহাম্মদ ইউনূসের সঙ্গে তারেক রহমানের দেড় ঘণ্টার বৈঠকে দেশের চলমান রাজনৈতিক ‘অনিশ্চয়তার’ মেঘ কেটে যাওয়ার ইঙ্গিত মিলেছে। আগামী ডিসেম্বর ও এপ্রিলের মাঝামাঝি ফেব্রুয়ারিতে ভোট আয়োজনের ব্যাপারে বিএনপির প্রস্তাবে সায় দিয়েছে সরকার।

এখন প্রশ্ন উঠেছে একান্ত এই বৈঠকে কি শুধুই নির্বাচনের প্রসঙ্গ এসেছে? বৈঠকটির বিষয়বস্তু নিয়ে আগেই আলোচনা হয় বিএনপির স্থায়ী কমিটিতে। ফেব্রুয়ারিতে নির্বাচন, মৌলিক সংস্কারের কয়েকটি বিষয়ে সম্মতি ও বিচার প্রক্রিয়া এগিয়ে নেয়ার বিষয়ে আলোচনা করতে তারেক রহমানের ওপর দায়িত্ব দেয় দলটির নীতিনির্ধারণী এই ফোরাম।

বিএনপির স্থায়ী কমিটির সদস্য সালাহউদ্দিন আহমদ ও হাফিজউদ্দিন আহমদ জানিয়েছেন, বিএনপি সরকার গঠন করতে পারলে ড. মুহাম্মদ ইউনূসের ইমেজ কাজে লাগানোর কথা লন্ডনের বৈঠকে আলোচনা হয়েছে।
