Описание: by Karen Zatkulak  A mother whose son was killed by a drunk driver two years ago is fighting the justice system.  The woman convicted is up for parole this week, but the victim's family is trying to stop that from happening. For 26 months, Kim Ledford has been pushing for change in the laws surrounding deadly D-U-I's.  Now, she's taking her fight to Nashville, hoping the woman who took her son's life, won't be released early.  Kim Ledford read us the emotional letter she'll present to the Tennessee Board of Parole this Thursday.  "July 10 was the day that would forever change our lives."It recounts the day her son, 24-year-old Dustin, was killed by a drunk driver, and why that woman should stay locked up.  "I want to parole board to know that you can't get out with a loaded weapon, either a gun or a car and kill a life and get a slap on the wrist."Tiffany Isaza was sentenced to ten years for vehicular homicide by intoxication in August of last year.  Ledford says she had a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit, with meth in her system as well.  Ledford can't believe she's already up for parole.  "I was shocked, I thought she's done 22 months for basically murder, I could not believe she was up for parole already."Ledford is now doing everything she can to keep Isaza behind bars.  Friends and family have written a hundred letters against her early release to the board of parole.  She will make her own plea to them face-to-face.  "While she has spent 22 months of a 10 year sentence in jail, we have spent 26 months of a life sentence."She's hoping that what happened to her son, won't happen to anyone else's loved one.  "I can't give Dustin birthday presents anymore, I can't give him Christmas presents anymore, but I can do this for dustin, and every mother out there."Ledford has also been pushing for stricter sentences for those convicted of vehicular homicide by intoxication with no prior convictions.  It's called Dustin's law..
