Assetto Corsa - WTCR Round 5: Race of Portugal - Vila Real

Описание: Vila Real was one of those old school circuits from the 1930s. A street circuit that tried to emulate Monte Carlo, but showed its own identity with an original route of just over 7 kilometers, two iron bridges over sheer drops to the river below, as well as a pair of level crossings where the course was bisected by a narrow-gauge railway. It received sport cars races, touring cars and F2 races over the years.

More recently a shortened course was created, which cut out both of the river crossings and the railway crossings were also eliminated. WTCC was the first comeback for international events in 2015.

With a course completely surrounded by ARMCO barriers, any slight mistake can be costly. In AC this track requires a lot more work with the backgrounds and some other details but it has a nice flowing layout. But the problem with these tracks in AC are the traffic jams in chicanes that can be a waste of time. With two AI incidents in the mix I was able to gain some postions but on the end Azcona and Guerrieri were too fast for my car starving for fuel on last laps.
