Savage combines the computer game genres FPS, RTS and minor aspects of RPG into an online-only multiplayer game. As the commander in RTS mode, you will tackle resource management, develop a tech tree, plan tactical and strategic assaults and lead a team of up to 64 human players into battle. As a unit in action mode, you will master melee combat, many unique weapons, powerful units, and siege vehicles to fight a fast-paced battle. The aim of the game is to destroy the opponent's command structure.

If you can't or don't want to play at the Beginner Evenings you may have a difficult time learning how to play. Savage has a steep learning curve and can be quite frustrating when you are new. When joining a server, stay in the spectator team for a while and watch veterans playing to learn the basic mechanics. Be sure to check out the tutorials on YouTube, in-game and on the Newerth website.

=[ 5 ]= Is Savage an MMORPG like World of Warcraft or Runescape?
Not at all. Savage is a competitive game with a clear objective where you cannot gain an unfair advantage with persistent levels and gear. There are no spells or combos that can be activated by the push of a button; all attacks are performed manually by using the mouse. Don't tell your character what to do - just do it.
