Tina Carlyle, Cameron Diaz's co-starring 'The Mask' character, and the Coco Bongo scene, in particular, drew substantial inspiration from Tex Avery's 1943 animated cartoon short, Red Hot Riding Hood. Here they are side by side, synchronised-ish and intermingled... to prove it? Hmm, it was never a secret. The movie is loaded with cartoon clanger clues.
You could argue that both works are overtly sexist, misogynist and probably various other undesirable -ists, but... are there any buts? Oh, I'm not getting into this.
