Plasma Cutting for Beginners: Using the Right Shield

You’ll most often use a drag shield, which positions the electrode at the proper standoff to give the best cut. But when you’re doing detailed cutting or cutting in a tight area, a deflector shield will give you the extended tip you need for the best results.
