Why does an expensive four year degree need to be the only path to a well paying middle-class job? Noel Ginsburg explains that it's not! Youth apprenticeships may be the key to creating the skilled workers America's industry needs. In 1980, Noel Ginsburg founded Intertech Plastics. Intertech is a custom injection molding business that manufactures products for the consumer and medical device markets. The company employs nearly 200 people out of two facilities and operates 24/7. Ginsburg has been active in many community and business organizations. He was the founding chair of the Colorado Advanced Manufacturing Alliance (CAMA) and the Colorado I Have a Dream Foundation. In addition, Ginsburg was an appointee on the State Economic Development Commission and the Colorado Workforce Development Council, a board member of the Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, chair of the Denver Public Schools College and Career Pathways council, and was appointed by Governor Hickenlooper to lead the Business
Experiential Learning (BEL) Commission for the State of Colorado. This work led him to found the statewide nonprofit, CareerWise Colorado - a high school apprenticeship system that aligns K12, higher education, and business. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
