Afghani Chicken Karahi
🌟Ingredients
•1kg Chicken (curry cuts)
•150ml Oil
•1 tbsp Ginger Paste
•1 tbsp Garlic Paste
•4 medium-sized Tomatoes (finely peeled & chopped or blended)
•1 tsp Cumin Powder
•1 tsp White Pepper Powder
•Half Lemon juice
•1/2 cup Yogurt
•1/2 cup Fresh Cream
For Topping
•Julienne cut Ginger
•Fresh Coriander (chopped)
•1/2 tsp Garam Masala
•1/2 tsp Crushed Black Pepper
Method
Heat oil in a karahi or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and salt sauté until golden brown.
Add ginger and garlic paste,and cook for 2 minutes until fragrant. then blended tomatoes,Green Chillies ,cumin powder,white pepper powder & Lemon juice . Cook on medium heat for 10-12 minutes until the oil separates. Lower the heat,add yogurt & Cream and mix well and cook for another 5 minutes. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the gravy is rich and creamy. Garnish with julienne-cut ginger,chopped coriander,1/2 tsp garam masala,and 1/2 tsp crushed black pepper. Serve hot with naan,paratha,or steamed rice!
