The Perfect Christmas Road Trip In A Motorhome - Belgium - Bruges

Описание: If you are looking for the best place to go in your motorhome over Christmas - well you've come to the right place!

In the first part of my 12-day tour of Belgium in my motorhome, I will take you around the city of Bruges, with a visit to the top of the famous Belfry, the beer and chip museum, the busy squares filled with Christmas markets, and a cruise on the canals of the city. Staying in my motorhome on the aire Camperplatts Bargeweg, only a 10-minute walk from the city centre.

Join me on my road trip around Belgium in both the northern Flanders region and the southern Wallonia region and its many UNESCO heritage sites, visiting cities including Ghent, Brussels, and Antwerp, medieval towns including Dinant, Durbuy, and Huy, and historic castles including Gravensteen, finishing with an emotional visit to the war cemeteries around the area of Ypres. I’ll also be visiting top-rated tourist attractions including the Grottes de Han (caves and animal park) and popular Mini Europe next to the Atomium in Brussels. It’s fair to say that Belgium is extremely photogenic, and will provide many opportunities for those Instagram posts!

My itinerary should give you inspiration for a short trip of 3-4 days and longer road trips showing you options for a visit in a motorhome and staying in aires and campsites along the way (with some insights into what to expect!). Many of the cities I visited by train and Belgium has one of the most efficient train networks I’ve ever been on!

Why watch me?

The last few years have been tough for us all, and after losing both my mum and more recently my grandma (who was not only my adventurous inspiration but also my travel buddy) I've had a real personal struggle with long bouts of depression and anxiety....but those who know me, know what works and that is the traveling and getting out in the fresh air. During this time, I never stopped to consider those perimenopausal symptoms may have also contributed to this, so I've taken the plunge and bought my motorhome Elaine and this is my vlog to capture my journey, through good times, bad and sad times. I'll take you go-karting down a mountain in Snowdonia, on nostalgic visits to our favourite childhood museums, to castles, coasts and historic areas of interest, bodyboarding and biking, something for everyone! I hope to be able to encourage other women to get out there and have a go!
