Ever wondered how track is renewed? Between 26th December 2024 and the early hours of 6th January 2025, Iarnród Éireann completely replaced the track on the busiest section of the rail line on Ireland's railway network, between Dublin's Connolly and Pearse Stations.
Almost 100,000 trains operate across this section annually, and it was last renewed 20 years previously.
