In the 1980s, at Spencer Elementary in Chicago, teacher David Siers groomed and sexually abused boys in his class for 16 years (1970-1986). In 1986, a boy's suicide attempt revealed the abuse, sparking a CPD investigation and grand jury. But Siers wasn't removed—allowing him to molest 13 more boys, some drugged and raped. Convicted in 1987 of a dozen cases:

Illinois State Board of Education recertified Siers a year and a half into his prison sentence for being a serial child molester. CPS, City of Chicago, Cook County, DCFS, and ISBE claimed "no records exist," despite mandates. 2025 FOIAs uncovered denials and delays, like CPD's recent refusal.

Now three survivors file federal and state lawsuits for justice, reforms, and to help up to 150+ victims. Over a dozen attorneys said our case is strong but feared challenging these powers. We're going pro se—join us!
