A relative spoke with the Daily Mail about how they've been coping in the days since, mostly how his long-term girlfriend Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell, who's 23 and now attending college in Santa Barbara, is dealing with Paul's passing. Her uncle says: "Paul was a really good guy and Jasmine is broken up by this. They had their ups and downs but they were together and looking to spend a bright future together. This is horrible news and unexpected. Her mother is with her and she is comforting her." Jasmine was reportedly 16 when they started dating; he was 33 at the time. Paul is also survived by his 15-year-old daughter Meadow Walker, who he fathered with his ex Rebecca McBrain.
