Описание: Accomplished Scandinavian-style figure carver Harley Refsal gave a talk on January 20, 2012, at the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis. The talk, "Following the Wood Chip Trail: From Nordic Forest to North America." marked the opening of the exhibit "Wit in Wood: Nordic Figure Carving," which is on view January 20 through April 29, 2012. Refsal, professor of Scandinavian Folk Art at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, is guest curator of the exhibit, which includes a selection of work by Scandinavian masters represented in the ASI collection, as well as some of Refsal's own work.
