Highlights of our flight from Barton to Cumbernauld on 17th May 2025. The real purpose of the day was to visit Glenforsa. We decided to break the journey at Cumbernauld for fuel and a break also neither of us had ever flown into there.
The route was very nearly one straight line from Barton to Cumbernauld just deviating slighting for the Chipping gliding and Cockerham para-dropping sites. There was very little radio work as it was a weekend so Warton Radar weren’t operating.
By complete coincidence, there was a fly-in taking place at Cumbernauld. We wondered if that would result in it being very busy as we arrived but that wasn’t the case.
After Cumbernauld we fly the comparatively short leg to Glenforsa which will be a separate video to follow.
G-JSUE is a privately-owned Van’s RV7 based at Manchester Barton.
