Today's video features the iconic Chanel jacket (2-pocket) from the Spring-Summer 2017 Collection (DataCenter). We are exploring it's 8 main characteristics/secrets of what makes a Chanel jacket, iconic, prestigious and so much sought after.... vintage or new!

The 8 characteristics/secrets of a Chanel jacket are:
1) Round collar / collarless
2) It's braided trim all around in different colors than the jacket itself
3) Buttons have the CC logo (front or back of the button) or leaf, or lion head, or the perfume bottle
4) 4 pockets (2 at the breast area/top and 2 at the lower part of the jacket). Pockets have a button each
5) Panelling construction - Chanel wanted women to wear a functional jacket that fitted each woman's body and measurements perfectly and the option of adjusting it in the future.
6) Silk lining that bears the camelia logo, CC logo and the Chanel name.
7) Fabric can be anything from a combination of tweed, cotton, wool, nylon, silk.
8) Metal chain on the inside hem of the jacket - its color mirrors the color of the buttons (gold with gold/silver with silver). The chain helps weigh the jacket for a perfect straight hanging.
