After 14 months of hot and dry conditions as well as the heightened bush fire danger and boiler issues throughout all of 2019, the Southern Downs Steam Railway were at long last able to run a loaded test run to Hendon in order to test out the boiler repairs on their steam locomotive C17 971 "Bob Keogh"
Upon returning to Warwick, it was deemed that the test run was a success and the locomotive is now able to re-enter service and continue hauling the tourist trains North, South and West of Warwick.
