Описание: Mohit Kumar from Uttar Pradesh went through a rare surgery to remove a ‘parasitic’ twin which was attached to his abdomen.

Parasitic twins form when one foetus partially develops while attached to the other. In this case, the teenager had two fully formed legs, buttocks and external genitalia protruding from his abdomen.

Mohit’s unusual appearance made him the subject of gossip and ridicule in his neighbourhood. The stares and jokes took a toll on his mental health, even forcing him to drop out of school.

The surgery, however, has given him a new lease of life.
