Week two of 2026. First week back in the office.

This vlog captures what it actually looks like to restart the year at full speed: onboarding multiple senior hires at once, aligning projects to January goals, and building accountability systems that force outcomes — not activity.

I walk through how we run project alignment off monthly key results inside Notion, what “ownership” looks like when every project has a primary/secondary owner plus exec support, and how we’re building KPI tracking that rolls up from weekly targets → monthly goals → quarterly goals → annual objectives.

You’ll also see the human side of it: trying to lead while being pulled in every direction, keeping training and recovery non-negotiable, juggling hockey games, and realizing how easy it is to neglect what matters if you don’t stay intentional.

And then reality hits - a finance meeting shows our burn rate is worse than expected and we may not make payroll without getting scrappy. I talk through the shift from stress to urgency, the actions we took immediately, and why motion is what gets you through.

This is the real founder week: new hires, systems, pressure, and execution.
