One of the most beautiful railway lines in India - this is the Shoranur-Nilambur Road branch line that meanders through breathtaking greenery formed by thousands of teak trees and Kerala's typical coconut orchards.
The 66km line connects Palakkad and Malappuram districts, with Nilambur Road forming the dead-end station at the foot of the Nilgiris. Every station on this line is beautiful with the old charm still being preserved.
Enjoy this view of the Shoranur-Nilambur Road Express arriving and departing from Cherukara, with one of the usual Golden Rock WDP4Ds in charge.
