“Memories Haunt like Diamonds…”
As I remember it, this was written on some spooky autumn twilights in Ashville, North Carolina where I took over one of the upstairs rooms from Willow in the group house where the Surreal Circus started (what was the name of that house?) – I wish I could still get a room somewhere for 80 bucks/month!
--We recorded Margie’s cello (Fern Knight) at her place in Providence, RI – we managed some other stuff in those sessions as well – (was this just after ‘Poor Minstrels’ Tour?)
--Violin and Viola from Annabel Lee out in rural Vermont (likely when I as hiding out in the sauna-hut!)
--Sackbuts courtesy Phil And Gayle Neuman of Ensemble De Organographia (and Oregon Renaissance Band)
