On January 19, an explosion occurred outside a Chinese restaurant in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, causing multiple casualties. One Chinese national was killed and five were injured. We express our deep condolences to the deceased and our sincere sympathies to the injured.
China has lodged an emergency demarche with the Afghan side, urging it to make every effort to treat the injured, further take effective measures to protect the safety of Chinese nationals, projects, and institutions in Afghanistan, promptly find out the truth, and punish the perpetrators.
