Описание: Zugspitze climbing into the high Alps. Alpine Climbing Adventure on the Zugspitze Massif. Germany’s Highest Mountain at 2962 meters, 9718 feet, which Lies in the Alps on the boarder of Austria's Tirol and Germany's Bavaria, each sharing a summit the eastern German summit being the highest!
This film takes Skye and I from our Bivvi camp at 1444 meters with its magnificent Alpine Views of the Wetterstein mountains, and we start the mountain climb proper! scaling a near vertical mile to summit the Zugspitze! Via Northern Scneeferner Glacier and Klettersteig (via ferrata)!
The route takes a very steep accent to the edge of Zugspitzplatt via knorr Hutte at 2052 meters where a most welcome coffee was enjoyed, along with some amazing views! The route continues steeply threw the rock strewn landscape to the much receded Scneeferner Glacier, and the Ski resort at 2600 meters. From here a final hard scree scramble and easy Via Ferrata to make the ridge and summit of Zugspitze.
The summit complex is a love / hate relationship amongst Alpinists and climbers (i think any way to give access to the high mountains for all is a good thing! (as is a coffee or a beer with views)) definitely a bonus !

We descended via the Seilbahn to the beautiful Eibsee
