In this lecture, I have explained the general methodology for the preparation of nitrile or organic cyanide. This video is mainly summary types and will provide conceptual clarity to the students. In the first segment of this video, I have tried to provide a retrosynthetic though or strategy for the preparation of nitrile i.e. C-N triple bond. Subsequently, I have described few reactions like, from alkyl halide, acetamide, Grignard reagent (inverse addition), Beckmann Rearrangement and Sandmeyer reaction.
