“The Council has big ambitions to tackle inequalities and celebrate the diversity of all communities”.
Today marks two years of the Race Equality Commission. We have made progress in making Sheffield an anti-racist city including contributing £100,000 to tackling race inequality over the next four years. We will be putting in place a range of resources to further improve. We will monitor race equality within the Council against a clear performance framework to measure our progress.
We are also supporting and coordinating events and activity for awareness dates including South Asian Heritage Month and Black History Month.
