What is the difference between looking at someone versus seeing someone? What if you took a risk and actually saw people for who they truly are and allowed other people to see you. Because being seen changes everything.
Allison Johnson grew up in San Antonio, Texas. She is the second oldest of 5 kids that range in age from 10 to 27. She has been a resident director at Grand Canyon University for the last 2.5 years. She is passionate to see and care for each of her students and pushes them to engage with topics of diversity, self-care, intentionality, and identity that holistically honors that individual. Allison has been a contributor for the last 4 years to the online magazine “Red Tent Living: Reframing Femininity.”
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
