Úna Walsh is a mammy of 7
a passionate local historian
a lover of the oral tradition
and a great ambassador for South Armagh.

Today she is going to deliver a presentation on
Celtic Myths, Folklore and Legends,
which have been passed down
through the generations.

The Celts came to Ireland at 400 BC
a pagan people who found their deity in nature
and the world surrounding them

Their year was divided into the four quarters
of Imbolc, Bealtaine, Lúnasa and Samhain
and each quarter celebrated with an opening festival
Some of these traditions continued
in Celtic Christian spirituality, customs, legends and folklore
