The parents of murdered American exchange student Amy Biehl told the South African Truth Commission Wednesday (09/07) that they will not oppose the amnesty bid by four black radicals.
The radicals were responsible for stoning and stabbing 26 year old Amy to death during a mob attack in the Gugulethu black township on August 25, 1993. The youths -- Mzikhona Nofemela, Ntobeka Peni, Vusumzi Ntamo and Mongezi Manqina -- are all serving 18-year jail terms for the
killing but claim their crime was politically motivated and that they should, therefore, be freed.
