The HTML title attribute adds a title to HTML elements. The title is read by search engines and it also appears when someone hovers their mouse cursor over an element for more than a second.

In the past you used to be able to keyword-stuff the title attribute to help with your SEO. If you do that in today you'll be penalized for keyword spamming. So don't do it.

That doesn't mean you can't use your keywords or LSI keywords in titles, just don't over do it. Make it natural.

A very natural place to add the titel attribute is images and links. Using the titles allows you to add more context to the your content.

Search engines use this context to help them rank your content appropriate.
