In this video we see some clips at Bayswater station on the Belgrave Line, as it was in January 2016 prior to the stations grade separation. Bayswater station was rebuilt below ground to remove two level crossings at Mountain Highway and Scoresby Road, with the new station opening on the 12th December 2016. Here we see some X'trapolis trains arriving and departing the station, before seeing some pass the two level crossings.
Bayswater Station opened on the 4th December 1889 when the line from Ringwood to Upper Ferntree Gully opened. The station had a new building constructed in 1977 and was converted into an island platform with two tracks in 1982 when the line from Bayswater to Ringwood was duplicated. The adjacent Bayswater Maintenance Depot opened in 1998 as part of the replacement of the Jolimont Rail Yards in Melbourne.
