With some sunny weather I thought it time to head out, enjoy some flying and do some real life testing of climb and descent rates in the Legal Eagle.
Was 11:30am and the warming air combined with slight gusting and swinging winds made for some occasional bumpy flying.
What follows is the last circuit of the morning.
My engine is the Hummel Engines 45HP ½ VW which turns a Performance Propellers 56” x 24”
I used a phone app for the VSI which works off the internal barometric sensor and accelerometer data.
Empty Weight - 297lb / 135kg
Take off weight in this video - 494lb / 224kg
