Eventually, she'll come around. She'll (or he'll) come to you. You'll find an unexpected soulmate to venture through life's obstacles and gifts, and you'll be ecstatic from triumph. You'll say: "I did it". Indeed, you did it. You'll do it. I believe in you. No achievement is satisfactory without great effort.

This video is autobiographical and serves as a message to my future self if I ever fall down the rabbit hole again. It depicts a chapter in my life that changed my outlook on not just romance, but life in general.

(SPOILER): I wholeheartedly relate to the protagonist in the movie "Her".

   • Her and the Human Condition  

"We see Theodore truly let go of Catherine in a beautifully handwritten letter for himself. In the final scene, we see Theodore go to Amy who is dressed in red. A symbol representing his acceptance in things. A newfound eagerness in the idea of friendship and the love that two friends can share and how beautiful that in itself can be. He learns to find love in himself without someone being in love with him. A lesson, I think, a lot of us can stand to learn. The very idea of that romantic love is crazy. We let it sink its hook so deep inside of us, we forget to how to love any other way sometimes. It's a film that challenges us to see the world in a different way, to see ourselves differently too and to be grateful to be a part of this world because for all its heartbreak and chaos and utility, it's all we have and we can all make something special out of it. We can all find meaning in this world and that meaning is in love. Not just romantic love, but love in all things: nature, work, friends and most importantly, though sometimes the most difficult, love for yourself.
