On Shackleton Day, the £11 million upgraded wharf has been completed 3-weeks ahead of schedule.
In a collaborative project the Wharf is expected to last for 50 years and can now berth the new RRS Sir David Attenborough. In addition, the King Edward Point can safety hold numerous other vessels including the MV Pharos.
