Naturalist Training - Insights from Mammal Field Studies
Learn about mountain lion, bobcat, and elk movements and behaviors in Coyote Valley and Henry Coe State Park.
For over 20 years, Mike Hundt has studied mountain lions, bobcats, and elk to gain insight into their movements and behaviors. The data collected has highlighted curious elk on cameras and bobcats who struggle to move between road barriers. This research encompasses Coyote Valley and Henry Coe State Park, utilizing traditional radio collars and cameras to collect data, as well as AI and other tools, to track their movements.
