"I Gotta Feeling" was 5th on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade. The song was also nominated as Song of the Year at the 2009 World Music Awards. In March 2011, it became the first song in digital history to sell over 7 million digital copies in the United States. This also makes it the highest selling digital,the group's best hit, as well as non-charity single in the US ever.

The song title "I Gotta Feeling" abuses the relaxed pronunciation "gotta" which actually means "got to". In the title and lyrics it is not supposed to mean "got to" but rather "got a", as in "I (I've) got a feeling", as opposed to "I (I've) got to feeling". In other words, this song's title has the same meaning as that of the Beatles song called "I've Got a Feeling". The composers of this song probably considered this a clever play on words, as the correct meaning of the title is easy to pick up in spite of these grammatical issues. Source: Wikipedia
