Описание: In early 2025, it was easy to think the world was entering “deglobalisation.” Tariffs rose, restrictions spread, and supply chains became part of geopolitical competition. Between October 2024 and October 2025, new tariffs and other import measures covered about $2.64 trillion of goods imports which is more than 4x the previous period. 

Yet trade is not disappearing. The same WTO monitoring also records many trade-facilitating steps, and economists still expected world merchandise trade to grow around 2.4% in 2025. 2025 was turbulent, but supply chains held up because firms adapted and governments updated policies.
