A view from Enniscorthy Castle shows the River Slaney has burst its banks after Storm Chandra hits Ireland.
Engineer at Wexford County Council Sinead Casey has said that there is no connectivity across Enniscorthy at the moment and the river Slaney is still rising, so it’s a “wait and see” situation.
She said that the flooding impact is quite large in Enniscorthy town, the quays, new bridge, island road and templeshannon, as well as part of the old N11 at the promenade and the promenade itself.
