In this video, I share my personal journey of "reawakening." Growing up as a minority in Europe and Taiwan, I knew I was different, but I didn’t always have the confidence to explain why. I thought moving to a Muslim majority country would be the "easy fix" to all my struggles.
Turkey 🇹🇷 remains one of my favorite places on earth. My life changed completely during my years there, and I am forever grateful for the experiences I had. However, settling there was also the "slap in the face" I needed. Seeing a society with all the Islamic infrastructure, yet seeing people my age still drifting away from the Deen made me realize something vital:
Environment alone doesn’t make you religious. Hidayah is a gift, and Islam is a choice you have to make every single day.
