Zach: Hey guys, Zach here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Rightline Gear Weatherproof Cargo Net.This is going to be a bungee style cargo net and it's going to have an integrated tarp, so this is going to be really good at providing some light duty coverage when it comes to securing your items. This is not going to replace ratchet straps. If you've got any kind of heavy load, we highly recommend using ratchet straps. I'm moving some boxes that hardly have anything in them today, and this is going to do a good job of keeping those secure. If I use a ratchet strap, I'd probably crush those boxes since there's nothing with much structure in them, so this is going to be a really nice application for this.The tarp will do a good job of keeping some water off of it.

I don't think it's going to be completely weatherproof. If there was a downpour on this all day, this is fairly thin. Even my nice rain jacket that has a coating on it, it still, after a while, water kind of gets through. It's going to get damp, and it's not fully enclosed, so water is going to get in underneath your bed. So if you've got anything that's highly sensitive, this is just going to do a good job of getting you from point A to point B.

I wouldn't let it sit out for very long.What I like about it though is it's kind of universal. We've got it on a smaller Ford Ranger today, but with it being 10 by 8, it's going to do a good job of fitting most truck beds. I also like that I can throw this on my trailer. I've got a small utility trailer hooked up too, and I can show you here in a little bit how we're going to get some of that stuff covered up. But overall we can take a closer look at how all of this stuff is attached and how everything is held in place.Look right here.

I do like how on these bungees, where they make their connections to create that net, they've got a rubber coating on there, so I think that's going to do a good job because that's a lot of times where some stress is going to be when you're wrapping it around stuff. I kind of like that. The bungees got decent stretch to them. With this weird load, I've got a couple that are a little loose, but you can see they do a pretty good job of getting over stuff. Got these nice seams right here where they're kind of holding them down to that tarp.It's something I'm not a huge fan of, and a couple of customers have voiced complaints too, is this tarp is a little thinner than I thought.

It's kind of plasticky feeling. It's definitely not like those tarps you're used to using around the house, which is what I've used in the past is just taking the tarp and putting ratchet straps over it if I needed to protect something. But it's light, it's going to be able to fold in on itself, and it's definitely going to protect your stuff from any road dirt and grime going down the road, dust, but also just a little bit of light rain too.And a really cool thing about this one is you don't have to go searching for a tarp and a bunch of straps. It's all in one, because we showed you how it's sewn together there. So I'm going to take this off and I'm going to show you how quick and easy it is to roll this up and just store it underneath a seat or something.I like this cause I can easily take this off. It's all together, and it's pretty big, so it's going to take a little bit of effort to get this rolled up neatly, but I would just start with it as flat as possible. You can just fold it back into itself.Now when you're doing this, I would definitely, if it was wet, I would let it dry off before you put this back in so it doesn't get all moldy when you're not using it. There's a little bit of wiggle room. It doesn't have to be exactly the way it came from the factory when you fold it back, fold it back up. Excuse me. Now it'll just go back in this little stuff sack. I'm going to get that drawstring tightened up. You can see, it's not the smallest in the world, but considering how wide the tarp is, 10 by 8, and I think that it being thin, a plus to that is that it can kind of fold down like this. If you had another tarp, those things are thicker and they're going to have a little bit bigger footprint. So I like that I can just toss this into the back of the truck. I don't have any worries about knowing where my stuff's at next time I need to get to it.First thing we'll do is we'll take this out of its storage bag. I want to unroll all this all the way.
