Описание: This season, Aspinal of London draws inspiration from that most majestic and noble animal, the lion, an enduring and powerful symbol of strength that has protected Great Britain and its homes for centuries. From the four great lions guarding London in Trafalgar Square, designed and sculpted by the famous 19th Century artist Edwin Henry Landseer, the lions that grace the Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Palace and countless other splendid examples around the country, the lion is the most familiar animal statue throughout Britain.

A lion’s head clasping a brass ring is the time-honoured, traditional door knocker protecting both the great houses and not so grand homes of Britain, including that most famous of doors at 10 Downing Street. This season, Aspinal has created a stunning capsule collection to remind us of both the unique relationship and heritage linking this beautiful animal to London and England and
that, most importantly, in the last forty years, the African lion population has reduced by almost a half. Aspinal has produced a range of beautiful silk scarves with artist Emma Shipley, profits from which will benefit the Glen Garriff Conservation charity, a lion reserve and charity in South Africa, helping to secure the future of the lion species.
