SHOCKING SALARY GAPS in Uganda’s Secondary Schools!
Dr. Byakatonda Abdulhu [Ph.D] has officially tabled a petition in Parliament on behalf of the Uganda Secondary School Arts Administrators Union (USSAAU) – and it's turning heads!
📉 Arts administrators are earning as little as UGX 1.7M, while their science counterparts make up to UGX 6.5M for the same administrative roles.
😡 This massive wage gap, triggered by the 2021 presidential directive prioritizing sciences, is fueling division, demoralization, and injustice in schools across the country.
The petition demands:
✅ Equal pay for equal work (as per Article 40 of the Constitution)
✅ Salary enhancements for arts administrators
✅ Fulfillment of the 2018 Collective Bargaining Agreement
✅ An end to discrimination in Uganda’s education system
