This video is part of a series of recitations of R.B. Appleton's "Fabulae Virginibus Puerisque aut Narrandae aut Recitandae"--a series of stories for the intermediate (intermediate-high) Latin reader. The first chapter is a slightly easier to read version of a story from Apuleius' "The Golden Ass". In part 1 of this recitation, a traveler finds himself and his roommate at the mercy of two witches during their stay in a seedy hotel.
