🍃 There are more parts of the leaf which the children can investigate the names of.
For example, margin, apex, etc. Remember that the key to learning is the child's interest. If we keep telling them everything, we rob them of the opportunity to discover something new for themselves.
If you feel compelled to lead them, do it in a question format. In other words, ask: 'I wonder if the edge has a special name?'.
This can lead into the study of different margin shapes and patterns. Leave your comments below of what you discover together or anything that made this a fun experience.
