In this video you see me undergoing training for my cloud flying badge. I have blacked out windows, and my job is to recover from the unusual attitude using only the instruments.
In a glider, we can deploy the airbrakes and these have the effect of stabilising the aircraft no matter its initial attitude. This makes recovery easier than in a powered aircraft.
