Le Magewappa est une technique de travail du bois à la vapeur d’eau à haute température permettant de modeler une lame de bois selon la forme souhaitée. L'intérieur de la boîte, sans vernis, permet une conservation optimale du riz cuit. L'extérieur de la boîte est protégé par un vernis alimentaire.

Two-level bento box from Kurikyu House.
Magewappa is a woodworking technique using steam at high temperature to shape the wood into the desired form. The inside of the box, without varnish, allows an optimal conservation of the cooked rice. The outside of the box is protected by a food varnish.
