2006 Chevy HHR with a 2.4 LT. this video shows you how to locate a small camshaft sensor oil leak. these oil leaks are performed due to a bad small black seal. this can be prevented by buying another seal or replacing your actual camshaft sensor. if your camshaft sensor is good but is leaking oil, you can buy another sale.
if camshaft sensor is bad and is not leaking, you need to replace your camshaft sensor immediately.
We cannot say this is a common problem with the hhrs but do keep in mind this will leak. you will not smell any type of oil or odor. please wipe off previous oil debris to fully locate your issue. My issue was solved by replacing it with another one that I had and found out it was the seal on the camshaft sensor. a leaking camshaft sensor does not mean your sensor is actually bad. everybody has their own issues. do not know what you're doing. please have a professional license mechanic. if not, do what your own risk.
