I understand some owners may not be bothered about chipping the paint in the boot but I know a lot will so this video is for you guys!

This is a video showing the unpacking and installation of a Titan Covers custom water proof load liner for VW Up! GTI

It's really easy but I found it very hard to do it as per the instructions. These suggest removing the velcro from the liner and fitting it to the car then attaching the liner. The problem with that is that you have no way of knowing where to attach it on the body - the velcro isn't even shaped apart from being folded on the corner which soon unfolds leaving you with one big long run.

Instead I peeled off the backing off the velcro's self adhesive side, offered up the liner to the body and stuck the velcro to the body that way.

The instructions suggest heating the interior if fitting on a cold day and degreasing the contact areas but I found the glue so good that I didn't need to do that, it's incredibly sticky!

There are some exposed areas still to the side of the flap so I might get some PPF/helicopter tape for these one day but it's still a lot better than before!

Oh, and don't shut the tailgate with the flap extended still as it will damage it - don't ask me how I know :)
