I am using pattern instructions from 1912 by Marie Thierbach, and adding my own touch with decorations and embroidery in the spirit of 'arts and crafts'. I’m excited to work on this project together with my friend Fanny, who came up with the idea in the first place. I highly encourage you to check out her progress pictures on instagram! It is also an absolute joy reading and learning about the Dress Reform movement and the Artistic and Aesthetic dress, and seeing other people’s concepts and projects with the #ReformDressChallenge hashtag.
I hope you are inspired to make your own reform dress, using the pattern we provide or any other pattern. If you do, please notify us, for example by using the hashtag #ReformDressChallenge and tagging us on instagram.
