This song started as a simple little idea that somehow grew to deeper meaning. As I wrote the lyrics and added metaphor on top of metaphor, I realised it was more than a little song of unrequited love, but an exploration of the risks of embracing AI and robotics. So, if your companion of the future is an android, how do you know how they feel? Do you really want to ask the question?

The video was shot in my favoured style - lots of planning and then a single take. Not the most professional method, but I enjoy the spontaneity. I hope you do too.

The background photo was provided by Martin Lopez via Pexels and the dancing android overlay was based on a video created by Adis Resic, again provided via Pexels. Many thanks for these wonderful resources.

The cover photo of the heart I set up and took myself. I couldn't find a good one online that wasn't A.I. generated, and I have to stick to my principles.
